  1. I was on a run today in Boulder's Chataqua Park -- beautiful sunny day, mountain path, foliage turning -- and listened to a podcast by Rob Bell, my favorite hipster pastor. You can find his Mars Hill Bible Church podcasts on itunes. I think he's pretty profound and he has a way of looking at religion generally, and Christianity specifically, that resonates with me. Anyway, his sermon this week was titled "Shine Like Stars" and I thought of the entire Lawler family while listening. I know that many people are wary about religion, but I'd like to think that sometimes God sends messages to people when they need to hear them. I think I needed to hear his sermon, and I think you may find the message brings you peace. God bless.

  2. Amen! Thanks John. You are right, God sends messages everyday to people. Its up to us if we want to listen but when we do, it refreshes out souls giving us peace, hope and comfort in times like what the Lawler Family is going through. I find the best way to really hear God is reading the Bible.

I wish that I could attend the service Saturday. God bless.

    Love.

  3. Driving back from "Up North" (the northern lower peninsula of Michigan) with my family this morning, we were listening to a classic-rock station and Led Zeppelin's "Black Dog" came on. I was telling my mom how, when I hear it, I always think of Craig playing it on the harmonica on the beach on Grand Cayman. I know I always go on and on about that moment, but I was so blown away by his playing (that was the first time I'd really heard him play at length) and amazed at his rendition of one of my favorite LZ songs!! Who needs Jimmy Page on guitar when you have Craig on harmonica. Anyway, that was a touching moment for me this morning and I just want you to know, as you must already, that Craig was a wonderful classmate and friend. Elizabeth Khalil
