He seems to be finding his swing a bit, thanks to a little help from some friends. Craig’s a blues guy on the side, and his blues buddies have been coming by for jam sessions, which have helped lift his spirits. His friend Jason Ricci said the next time he’s in Colorado, he’ll put on a benefit concert in his honor, and his friend Watermelon Slim has dedicated his concerts and album to Craig. It’s neat to see them so supportive. Hope this new wind will help guide him to a full recovery. -- J

Maybe the Jango ate yo baby…
Craig’s been kicking around with his harp and guitar. I like to capture his ‘guitar speak’ as he plays. As example: “See, this is how Jango did it…. I can do it in G….still sounds better in F”. Craig and I had a little jam session a few days ago, playing a strange mix of Ghanaian-type high life and Travis picking. Who am I kidding, I don’t know what the heck I’m playing, I guess whatever sounds pretty. I’m glad I brought my guitar with me from Bangkok. I remember ‘guitar speaking’ as I was leaving my apartment, saying out loud, ‘there may be other times, but I know for a fact there’s this time’.
