The latest ...Mom was taken to the ER yesterday with sepsis (blood infection). After her blood pressure crashed to 50/something low, she was quickly transferred to ICU where she's now recovering. Sepsis alone is life threatening, but throw in brain cancer, and well… Yet still, she pulled through and seems to be out of the woods.Unfortunately, we learned that her tumor is back, though we don't know the size. The Duke team will be reviewing her case on Monday to see what options may be available. We also discovered that one of Craig's drugs inhibits the metabolism of his chemo. Yeah...hands in the air. Sounds familiar. We're now giving him different meds/dosages for his vomiting, etc. I've talked to his cancer team, and we're going to put together a strategy so that Craig may receive chemo/TPN in Stillwater, should we need to book it home soon. And if things couldn't get any worse...Diane fell off her bike today, and may have a broken arm. She's now at the ER (just a few floors below mom) awaiting an x-ray. Bubble wrap from here on out, people!...Not taking any chances.
