Diane’s Clever Quip of the Day

I attached the morphine button to Craig's shirt so that it wouldn't fall too far from reach as he dozed on a recliner chair. The grey button gripped his shirt in the middle of his belly -- the most accessible yet least likely place to accidentally bump.  In a rare moment of brilliance, Diane said, "heyyyy, it's his belly button!"  Ba dum pishhhhhhh!  Take it on the road, D! We all responded with requisite "ehhhs" and "ahhh snaps" in recognition of her wit. Craig even quipped back "aw, that's clever but keep the wrapper on your side of the room" ???), which didn't quiiiiiite make sense but we all laughed anyway, enjoying the fact that it was his voice - though soft and slurred -- filling the room. ~E
